FOOD FOR LIFE

This month we are celebrating one year of being vegan.

Last year we made the decision of only crafting vegan sneakers since we believe that is the only way to fully embrace our sustainable and cruelty-free ethics. We plan on remaining that way in the future in order to make the world a liveable place for us all. We are determined to continue being part of the active change for a better future in which the fashion industry plays a positive role in the lives of all people involved.

Until November 30, we will be donating two vegan meals for children for each pair of sneakers sold.

HOW ARE WE DOING THIS?

We are collaborating with non-profit Food For Life, and during the month of November we will be donating two vegan meals for children for each pair of sneakers sold. Food for Life provides plant-based meals to anyone who is disadvantaged, malnourished, or a victim of disaster. They assist humanitarian efforts by:

Coordinating and expanding the distribution of sanctified plant-based meals all over the world to the disadvantaged, malnourished and victims of disaster.

Producing promotional and training materials for the development of Food for Life projects worldwide.

Promoting the art and science of food yoga to nourish body, mind, and soul.

Raising funds on behalf of Food for Life worldwide.

Helping establish pure food prepared and served with loving intention as a viable means to create peace and unity in the world.

Organizing and sponsoring emergency vegan relief efforts conducted by Food for Life volunteers.

Food for Life was founded with the intention of providing food for those in need but not any type of food, but vegan meals. Their primary goal is to “create peace and prosperity in the world through liberal distribution of pure plant-based meals prepared with loving intention.” They truly believe that a vegan diet can combat world hunger.

The issue is that there are a lot of organizations who try to combat the hunger problem but they do not address its root causes: bad distribution of food resources and food insecurity. With a plant based diet, it is possible to eat healthy, balanced and at the same time cheap and cutting the distribution costs.

Food for Life is a veganism supporter, which means they exclude the use of animal products from every part of the daily life, including clothing! Just like us, they believe in promoting sustainable use of nature’s resources in order to support animal rights and protect the planet.
